Agricultural seminar in Yeghegnadzor

On May 23, 2017 within the framework of the project Development of Horticulture in 18 Communities of Vardenis and Vayots Dzor a theoretical and practical training session was held in Yeghegnadzor with participation of 21 lead farmers from the region. The seminar was organized in cooperation with Syunik Development NGO. According to the workshop agenda the first (of the agriculture season) measures to combat diseases and pest in orchards using both synthetic and organic pesticides were introduced. During the seminar a video turorial about the springtime care and farming techinques, features of pruning dwarf orchards was demonstrated. There were also introduced new organic and synthetic plant protection products, upon which all participants received test quantities of those pesticides.
