Seminars for Organic Fruit Producers Cooperative

On June 9, 2017, another seminar was held for the members of Organic Fruit Producers Cooperative with participation of 15 farmers. The workshops were organized within the framework of the project "Expansion of Organic Fruit Production Through Upgrading the Organic Orchard Management and Streamlining Horticulturist Farmers into Organic Agriculture Cooperative" implemented with the support of the OASI Project. During the seminar, modern organic pesticides were presented and test quantities of it were provided to the cooperative members.

On June 16, the members of the Organic Fruit Producers cooperative visited Khor Virap Cooperative in Ararat Marz to learn their advantage experience in the field. During the visit, Virap Manukyan, Chairman of the "Khor Virap" cooperative presented their 10+ years achivement, the problems they encountered and the acquired skills. Then, Ara Danielian, Economic Development expert of Shen NGO, discussed with the seminar participants the details of possible collaboration with the Khor Virap cooperative. At the end the members of the "Organic Fruit Producers" cooperative visited the machinery park, dryer, cold storage and demo orchard of "Khor Virap" Cooperative.
